The Raitt Award is given to public figures displaying foot in mouth disease, exposing through spoken or written comment a callous, heartless nature.  Comments Raitt might call sexy.  But not as sexy as cancer.

Beowulf award

The Beowulf award goes to someone who fearlessly takes on gods and monsters for the welfare of others.

It isn't necessary to have beaten the evil to qualify for this award since even in challenging the obscene, the human spirit benefits.
